MULTICHANNEL AUDIO INTERFACE

 

The M-DL-ADAPT ‘letter-box’ interface fits in any I/O Port on on an Avantis / dLive and adds compatibility with most iLive / GLD audio networking cards including M-Dante, M-Waves, M-ES-V2, M-ACE and M-MADI. It provides a 64×64 channel interface running at 48kHz, thus maintaining compatibility with Allen & Heath iLive and GLD mixing systems as well as most third party consoles running off Dante or MADI. Sample Rate Conversion is seamlessly performed in the interface module.

 

The M-DL-ADAPT ‘letter-box’ adapter can be fitted to any dLive I/O Port to enable

the use of iLive / GLD option cards ( M-Dante, M-Waves, M-ES-V2, M-ACE, MMADI ). It provides a 64x64ch 48kHz interface with built-in Sample Rate Conversion.

 

Fitting the adapte

 

Switch the system off.

Remove the 4 screws securing the I/O Port blank panel on the dLive

MixRack or Surface. Use a star Torx T8 screwdriver.

Slide the adapter into the slot and press it firmly into the mating

connector.

Secure the adapter by tightening the 4 thumb screws.

 

Fitting the option card

 

Switch the system off.

Remove the 2 screws securing the blank panel over the adapter

letter-box slot using a star Torx T8 screwdriver.

Slide the option card into the slot and press it firmly into the mating

connector.

Secure the card using the 2 screws.

 

Setting clock and patching signals

 

Use the I/O screen to patch signals from or to the I/O Ports.

Use the MixRack / Audio / Audio Sync screen to select the clock source. Set

this to Internal on the master system, or to the relevant I/O Port on all other

networked systems

 

The functions of the adapter and option cards are determined by the firmware

( operating software ) that the dLive system runs. Firmware is updated regularly

as new features are added and improvements made.
