Korg's new 1-bit stereo recorder, the MR-2000S, looks almost as good as it sounds.

 

The MR-2000S goes beyond the 1-bit/2.8224MHz format used in creating Super Audio Compact Discs and allows 1-bit/5.6448MHz recording, which, says Korg, preserves the clarity, ambience and true dynamic range of the original sound source with unprecedented accuracy.

Features :

  • the ability to install in standard 19-inch rack-mountable;
  • two-channel sound recording and playback in WAV format (BWF) with up to 24-bit / 192 kHz and a one-bit formats DSDIFF, DSF and WSD with a sampling frequency of 2.8 MHz or 5.6;
  • Easy to work with project files: up to 160,000 projects;
  • the use of quality components: DAC CS4398 from Cirrus Logic ADC and Burr-Brown PCM4202;
  • LCD display with backlight and a resolution of 160 × 104 pixels;
  • MR Control Link function allows you to combine multiple recorders via the S / PDIF interface is also possible to record 7.1-channel audio;
