The VOX AC15 is the amp that started it all. Boasting both a Normal and Top Boost channel, the AC15 Custom is an all-tube, EL84 driven workhorse that delivers 15 watts of authentic British tone into your choice of a genuine Celestion Greenback or Alnico Blue speaker. The AC15 Custom also offers footswitchable spring reverb and classic VOX tremolo to enhance the already impressive sound. Adored by the biggest names in music for nearly 60 years, the VOX AC15 Custom carries on the tradition that began in 1958 and offers guitarists the unmistakable sound of VOX, with all the refinements of a modern amplifier.

 
Plug into the AC15's normal channel and use the volume, master volume, and tone cut controls to shape your tone. Or, take advantage of Vox's venerable top boost channel, which adds adjustable bass and treble controls. You can literally take the AC15 Custom from brilliant, sparkling clean to the kind of powerful, compressed overdrive you just won't find anywhere else!
 
What's behind this British-flavored sonic goodness? Vox loaded the AC15 Custom with three 12AX7 preamp tubes, and equipped the power plant with a pair of EL84 power tubes. This arrangement gives you great sustain, amazing response, and distinctive, compressed overdrive when you crank it up. The AC15 Custom's beautiful signal is pumped into a premium Celestion Alnico Blue speaker - the perfect complement to a fine amp!

The combination of the Vox AC15 Custom's Class A, EL84-driven power amp and its Top Boost preamp gives the amp its iconic sound. Loaded with a Greenback
The Vox AC15 Custom's substitution of a 12" Celestion 25-watt Greenback speaker parts from the traditional AC design. Sweetwater guitarists think this enhances the tone of the AC15 Custom. The Greenback's mellower, midrange-focused sound helps round off some super-high frequencies. And the quality of these Greenbacks are why you'll find them in guitarists' cabinets all over the world.
