The combination of the Vox AC15 Custom's Class A, EL84-driven power amp and its Top Boost preamp gives the amp its iconic sound. The Vox AC15 Custom's substitution of a 75-watt, 12" Warehouse Guitar Speakers American Vintage Series G12C departs from the traditional AC design. Sweetwater guitarists feel this enhances the tone of the AC15 Custom. With its classic American vibe and articulate top end, the G12C provides plenty of muscle with extra headroom, while finessing high frequencies that can get a tad tizzy in this classic British Top Boost amp.
