The CV10 deploys a 6L6 output valve and an ECC83 in the preamp stage to give this amp a distinctively American bright clean sound and searing lead tone. The built-in overdrive circuit – inspired by our renowned HT-Drive pedal – takes the lead tone from dynamic crunch to a singing, smooth legato and remains composed and graceful.

Carmen Vandenberg. One of the most exciting guitarists in the world. Her band, Bones UK, has been Grammy nominated and supported the likes of KORN and Rage Against the Machine. She also co-wrote the Jeff Beck album Loud Hailer. In 2019 Carmen worked closely with Blackstar’s engineers to create her signature CV30. Now, answering calls for a lower wattage and more compact version, we are proud to introduce the CV10. Based on the Studio 10 6L6, one of Carmen’s favourite amps, the CV10 is perfect for Carmen’s blend of riff-heavy rock and roll and industrial blues tones.

Designed in partnership with Carmen Vandenberg of Bones UK, the CV10 from Blackstar offers grueling industrial gain and crystalline melodic clarity to rock small venues and clubs. Building from the bones of Blackstar’s Studio 10 6L6, Carmen and Blackstar refined its tone to deliver a sound closer to the Class A with all its piercing valve power — a footswitchable overdrive puts that power right in your grasp. Also, a series effects loop makes integrating your pedalboard straightforward. Lastly, this combo’s blue-green tweed trappings, gold piping, and art deco panel emblazoned with Carmen Vandenberg’s signature will inspire you to take the stage with conviction.

For instance, its speaker-emulated output is taken after its Class A power stage, so you’ll inject your projects with 6L6 power tube tone, along with the dimensional sound of a miked-up cab. Integrating the CV10 with your pedalboard and other effects is a piece of cake thanks to its effects loop. You also get three external speaker outputs for adding an extension cab and a headphone/line output for quiet practice or home recording! Beyond that, the Carmen Vandenberg Signature features a built-in reverb that provides lush ambience without washing out your playing.

6L6 power tube yields glassy cleans and toneful grit

The Blackstar CV10 Carmen Vandenberg Signature is loaded with a 6L6 power tube. Prized for their fat, round low end and bright clean tones, 6L6s are the epitome of American amplifier tone. These tubes are also extremely versatile, performing as well for clean jazz as they do for hot lead tones. Thanks to its 6L6 power tube, the CV10 Carmen Vandenberg Signature delivers a wide range of vintage tones, all pumped through a Celestion Seventy 80 speaker for defined, controlled lows and punchy, aggressive mids.
