The Lindell Audio LiN2A Vintage Leveling Amplifier ticks all the boxes: a USA-made transformer, true tube-driven optical compression/limiting, ultra-fast attack and level-dependent release, vintage-style VU for monitoring, and more. Perhaps best of all, it’s much less expensive than maintaining a vintage unit! Putting the hit sound of the last 60 years right in your own studio has never been easier.

 

A unique style of compression

Normally, you might have to play around for a while to get the sound you’re looking for with many compressor/limiters; however, it actually takes effort to not make the LiN2A sound good! That’s because the LiN2A (and all true ‘2A-style compression/limiting) doesn’t use the typical ratio, attack, and release controls that are found on most other types of compressors/limiters. Instead, what you’ll find on the Lindell Audio LiN2A is a simple 2-knob interface for quick, effortless, and excellent results. The LiN2A features a great Compress mode (≈3:1) and an equally awesome hard Limiter (∞:1) mode. And although vocals sound particularly magical through the LiN2A, bass and kick tracks will benefit from it as well.

 

The Black Lion T4BLA Opto Element

At the heart of the LiN2A is the superb Black Lion T4BLA Opto Element. This little beauty delivers smooth gain reduction and transparent leveling, ensuring that you and/or your clients always have musical, intelligible vocal takes. Each individual T4BLA unit also has incredible consistency with regards to its construction, so if you ever decide to hook up multiple LiN2A units together, they will work together in perfect harmony.
