The Behringer Composer Pro-XL MDX2600 V2 is a dual-channel expander/gate/compressor/peak limiter that is ideal for a wide range of applications. The MDX2600 V2 is suitable for compressing mono and stereo signals and offers first-class noise reduction without loss of high frequencies, which increases the voice presence and energy of the vocals and smooths or limits extremely high signal peaks.
In addition, the MDX2600 V2 has an integrated Dynamic Enhancer, De-Esser, Low-Contour Filter and the revolutionary, switchable tube simulation. Behind it lies the Tube Modelling Processor, which radiates the essence of Tube and compression. This circuit emulates exactly the coveted features of classic tube compressions and thus ensures a warm and transparent sound.
- Switchable IKA (Interactive Knee Adaptation) program-adaptive compression circuitry combines the advantages of hard-knee and soft-knee characteristics
- Integrated de-esser with switchable male/female voice mode removes excessive sibilance from vocal tracks
- IGC (Interactive Gain Control) peak limiting circuitry combines clipper and program limiter for reliable and inaudible protection against signal peaks
- Switchable dynamic enhancer boosts treble only during compression for lively audio even during heavy gain reduction
- IRC (Interactive Ratio Control) expander/gate circuitry for transparent noise suppression
- Switchable tube simulation for the extra warmth of classic tube circuitry
- Automatic or manual adjustment of attack and release times
- Switchable sidechain high-pass filter prevents pumping due to extreme low-frequency compression
- Stereo couple function with independent output level settings
- Switchable sidechain input with monitor function
- Separate 12-segment LED meters for input/output levels and gain reduction
- Dedicated "traffic light" threshold and de-esser level displays
